MetMedia Rates
We can't quote rates over the phone or list our prices on the web.
Why not?
Because we can't, not because we won't. We offer customized service that is different for each couple. You are probably thinking that this is a sales tactic designed to get you away from thinking about price. It isn't. But while we're on the subject, price should be one of the last questions you ask. Read on.
The two questions videographers always get first are, "Are you available?" and "What do you charge?" The answer to the first question is easy. The second question can only be answered if the videographer has knowledge of more than 50 details about your wedding day, your personality, your tastes, and your vision. A grand vision isn't necessarily more expensive than a simple one, it's just grander.
We could set our prices and give them to you, but it would be for a film that we've already planned without ever meeting you- or taking your needs, wants, likes and dislikes into account. It would be like going into Starbucks and picking the cup size, then having no say in what they put in the cup before they serve it to you. It could be any combination of the many things they have behind the counter.
Personalizing your wedding video doesn't mean that it costs more, but it guarantees that it will be more valuable. Read that last sentence again, please. Often, couples are surprised to find that they save money by only paying for the services they want, as opposed to buying as preset package.
It is impossible to compare video companies by price alone. If you don't have much information to work with, price seems like a logical point of comparison. However, the real dividing line between companies should be your eyes, ears, and emotions.
If you were shopping for a car based on price alone, it would be easy to choose between a car that costs $1000 and one that costs $3000. But what if you found out that the $1000 car was a old pickup truck with no hood, and the $3000 car was a brand new Mercedes? You already know the answer.
It is an exaggerated example, of course, but illustrates the importance of evaluating quality and value, not just cost. You are probably thinking, "This is exactly what an expensive videographer would say." Not true. This is what all videographers should say.
Your eyes and ears will tell you if the videographer's finished work is the quality you expect. They will also be the tools you use to decide whether a videographer's responsiveness, professionalism, experience and character are consistent with his or her image.
Every wedding professional is not right for every couple. Again, you are probably thinking, "This is what a snobby wedding professional would say." Not true. This is what all wedding professionals should say.
Your emotions will tell you when there is chemistry between you and your videographer. Think about it. Your videographer will be around you, your family and friends all day. Simply, you want wedding professionals that you like to be around.
You also want wedding professionals that won't embarrass you with their demeanor, appearance, or personality. The more comfortable you feel with him/her, the more relaxed you will be. Being relaxed allows you to be natural. The result is more enjoyable photos and video.
You need someone to create an awesome film for you while making it a fun experience that enhances your wedding day.
That's what we do.
